TEXAS PEACE OFFICERS MEMORIAL

The Texas Peace Officers Memorial, sponsored by the Peace Officers Memorial Foundation, 400 West 14th Street, Austin, Texas, strives to perpetuate the memory of Texas law enforcement officers who have paid the ultimate sacrifice while serving their communities.

Since its inception in 1987, the foundation's uncompromising determination to preserve the rich history of Texas law enforcement and provide support for the families of peace officers has remained unparalled.

The foundation hosts a biennial memorial ceremony at the state capitol during odd numbered years when the Texas Legislature is in session.

J.D. Tippit's name appears on panel 26-C-08 of the memorial.


Texas Peace Officers Memorial Location - Austin, TX

The Texas Peace Officers Memorial honoring J.D. Tippit and other Texas law enforcement officers who have died in the line of duty is located in Austin near the intersection of Brazos and E. 14th Streets, close to the Texas Capitol Complex.
You'll find the memorial on the northeast corner of the complex.
